Welcome to BlueThrone
Who we are
We find great mobile apps with serious potential and turn them into companies built to go much further.
That means taking products people already love and bringing together the product, growth, data, tech, and creative firepower to scale them into something bigger.
We’re a remote-first team spread around the world. Different backgrounds, different disciplines, same mentality: move fast, own your work, and make something happen.
No endless layers. No sitting around waiting for someone else to make the call.
We build, test, learn, challenge, and keep pushing until good becomes great.
That’s BlueThrone.
How we got here
BlueThrone is born
Founded in Singapore.
Small team.
Big plans.
One idea: buy great apps and make them bigger.
$7.7M Seed round raised
Our first major vote of confidence.
The backing to move faster.
First $1M ARR
Less than a year in.
The first real proof that the model worked.
We become profitable
And we’ve had an “endless runway” ever since.
$10M ARR
The model kept delivering.
Ten million reasons to keep going.
$20M ARR
We doubled from $10M.
Still growing.
Still hungry.

But, would you DIE on me tomorrow?
Unlike what you may be used to - and yes, we know you have trust issues - we’re PROFITABLE.
This means you won't get fired because we're running out of money or begging VCs to save us from ourselves.
Our business is built on several BIG apps.
That gives us something startups don't always have - stability, predictability and CERTAINTY.

How work gets done
Small teams
You will work with a focused group of experienced people, not disappear inside a huge department.
Direct access
Decisions do not need to travel through five layers. You will work closely with the people who can make them.
Outcomes over appearances
We do not reward looking busy. We care about what changed because you were here.
Async, but not absent
We protect flexibility, document decisions, and communicate clearly. Remote does not mean disconnected.
Speed with judgment
Moving fast does not mean being careless. It means knowing what needs depth, what needs action, and what does not need another meeting.
Products, not projects
We own the products we work on. The goal is not to finish a task and move on. It is to make the product stronger.
The standards we work by
Ownership
Do not wait for someone to adopt the problem. Pick it up, understand it, and move it forward.
Agility
New information changes plans. Adapt quickly without turning every change into drama.
Resourcefulness
You will not always have the perfect tool, process, budget, or answer. Find a smart way through.
Resilience
Some experiments fail. Some numbers go backwards. Learn, reset, and keep moving.
Integrity
Say what is true, especially when it is uncomfortable. Trust depends on it.
No ego
Defend the idea, not your pride. The strongest answer wins, regardless of title.
Performance
Effort matters, but outcomes matter more. Know what good looks like and hold yourself to it.
Enthusiasm
Bring energy to the work and the people around you. Ambition is contagious; so is indifference.
Think beyond your role
Your job description is the starting point, not the border. Think about what the company needs, not only what was assigned to you.
How will my day-to-day look?
There's NO "typical day" here.
One day you might be deep in numbers, the next you're fixing something with people across three time zones, and the day after that you're testing an idea that didn't exist last week.
We're 100% remote, so you have the FREEDOM to work where you do your best work.
If there's Wi-Fi on Mars, go ahead.
And from time to time, you'll also get an invitation to come hang with us in Phuket ;)
Freedom is part of the deal.
Ownership is the other half.
YET...
- You must deliver.
- You must be results obsessed.
- You must LOVE what you do and CARE about your craft.
Hey, why do you keep talking about OWNERSHIP?
Because remote + fast only works when people own their work.
We WON'T babysit you.
We WON'T clock you in and out.
We WON'T micromanage you.
And frankly – who wants to work like that anyway?
This means you are the OWNER.
Of your time.
Of your career progression, path and growth.
Of your responsibilities.
And most importantly – of the result.
Would I be able to grow here?
Heck yes.
We prefer to grow and PROMOTE our own people before looking outside.
When you're a good fit and we work well together, you will grow FASTER and HIGHER than anywhere in your life.
You'll also have the freedom to step outside your lane – join conversations beyond your scope, contribute ideas, learn from other teams, and take on more as you prove you're ready.
Would I be able to work on different projects and products?
Absolutely.
We work across several huge apps, each at a different stage of growth. That means different problems, different challenges, and plenty of room to move beyond one narrow lane.
You will enjoy variety, options, AI-first breakthrough 🤘
Who thrives here?
You may feel at home here if...
- You like being trusted with a problem, not handed a perfect checklist.
- You can make sensible decisions before every detail is known.
- You communicate directly without making things unnecessarily personal.
- You care about the result beyond your own part of the process.
- You are comfortable working with ambitious people who will challenge your thinking.
- You enjoy small teams where your contribution is easy to see.
- You can change your mind when the evidence changes.
- You do not need constant supervision to keep moving.
BlueThrone may not be for you if...
- You need every task fully defined before you start.
- You prefer decisions to move through several approval layers.
- You measure contribution mainly by time spent online.
- You protect your area instead of helping solve the wider problem.
- You avoid difficult feedback or disagreement.
- You want a predictable environment where priorities rarely change.
Four things matter in every hire
Hunger
You want to improve the product, the result, and your own level - not merely complete the assignment.
Integrity
You communicate honestly, take responsibility, and do not hide behind convenient versions of events.
Intelligence
You can understand complexity, separate signal from noise, and make sound decisions.
Collegiality
You raise the standard without lowering the quality of the room. Strong opinions and respectful collaboration can coexist.
No mystery. Here's how it works.
Look, we hire for more than a CV. Experience gets our attention. The way you think, act, communicate, and take ownership determines whether BlueThrone is the right place for you.
The exact process depends on the role, but most candidates meet us through three or four conversations. Each stage has a purpose. We do not add interviews merely because someone else wants a turn.
Application and initial review
We review every application carefully, including your CV and short video. We look beyond titles and keywords to understand your experience, your motivation, and how you communicate – so our first conversation can be more meaningful for both of us.
Conversation with People team
We get to know each other. We'll talk about your experience, what motivates you, and what kind of environment helps you do your best work.
Professional interview
You'll meet the person you'd work with most closely. This is where we dive into your hard skills, your decisions, and how you approach real problems.
Deep dive or practical challenge
Depending on the position, we may explore a real problem, portfolio case, system design exercise, or product challenge.
Final conversation
A senior leader joins to explore the bigger picture: ownership, ambition, judgment, and whether this feels like the right long-term fit – for both sides.
Decision and offer
If it's a match, we'll walk you through the offer, answer every question, and make sure you know exactly what comes next.
What you can expect from us
Clarity
We will explain the role, the process, and how we work in detail during our first conversation.
Preparation
You'll know who you're meeting, why you're meeting them, and what they're looking to understand.
Straight answers
We won't oversell the role or hide the hard parts. We'd rather you know exactly what you're signing up for.
Respect for your time
Every stage has a purpose. We avoid unnecessary interviews and assignments.
A real decision
If we proceed, it is because we see a serious match – not because we are collecting options.
This goes both ways
Interviews aren't just for us to evaluate you. They're your chance to evaluate us, ask difficult questions, and decide whether BlueThrone feels right for you.
Still have questions?
We've probably answered them.
There is more to the story
Hear directly from BlueThrone about the decisions, lessons and thinking behind the business – and where we believe the app world is heading.
